From outside the depths of alt-country music Hell come Outlaw Jones, the Dallas-Fort Worth band not afraid to push the boundaries of originality and outlaw attitude.

Outlaw Jones is what every band aspires to be: a recognizably original band with a phenomenal stage show consisting of superior musicianship, soul-moving songwriting and the professional attitudes of veteran musicians.

Born from the dying embers of local musical sensation Ray Diffee & The Gringo Revolution, lead singer/songwriter Ray Diffee and bassist Josh Woodward began plotting a return to their outlaw roots and set out to build a band with musicians who shared their vision. Enter drummer Andrew Teer and guitarist/songwriter Mike Glanton (formerly of Speedtrucker). This newly minted foursome began retooling many of the songs Diffee had written to date and also began writting new songs. Wanting to expand their sound beyond a simple 4 peice, guitarist Neal Cowan (formerly of The Hawkes) was added to solidify the rhythm section and provide slide/lead support. Almost symultainiously, steel player Ted "The Train" Dilday began sitting in and was soon invited to take a permenant postion in the band. Together, this 6 peice delivers a hard mix of Outlaw, Honky-Tonk, Southern Rock and soulful ballads.

Outlaw Jones has a cult-like following: devoted fans wanting an escape from the mundane, overproduced sounds on the airwaves, seeking instead the earthy, stripped down honky-tonk outlaw sounds of a band that has lived the songs they write. Their lyrics paint a vivid picture of life in all its facets, and it's not always a pleasant one.

Fans, new & old, are easily drawn into the pleasures and frustrations of small town life in "Beyond The Lights," entranced in the drama of an adulterous wife in "The Ballad of Bill & Sue," are unconsciously willed to the dance floor with "Texas Outlaw" and "Karma Loves Irony." But what the fans love most about Outlaw Jones is the fact that they ALWAYS have a good time.

"The cure for your outlaw jones...
is Outlaw Jones!"

If you want to hear the same regurgitated assembly-line pop-country dribble that permeates the airwaves and is destroying the legacy of legends past, then Outlaw Jones is not your band. But if you want a true outlaw show with gritty & true life lyrics, dance-worthy musicianship and enough hardcore outlaw attitude to fill Waylon's tour bus, then Outlaw Jones is just what you've been jonesing for…
